With the rise of global awareness of energy saving and environmental protection, the Japanese government formulated new energy-saving standards for LED lighting fixtures and bulbs in 2019, and set 2020 as the goal to achieve the year; the European LED lighting market continued to grow, reaching 8.292 billion US dollars in 2018 , with a year-on-year growth rate of 9.5% and a penetration rate of over 50%. Among them, the growth kinetic energy of spotlights, filament lamps, and decorative lamps used for commercial lighting is the most significant. Taiwan has promoted the LED lighting energy-saving plan for more than ten years. Since 2008, the Energy Bureau has promoted the application demonstration plan of LED energy-saving new technology lighting products , which has prompted traffic signs to be gradually replaced by LED lights.
Taiwan has become the second full-scale use of LED lights in the world. In the country where LED traffic signs were adopted, incandescent light Special Database bulbs were completely banned in 2012, and LED advanced smart lighting was promoted in 2015. Indoor fluorescent lamps (also known as fluorescent lamps) in administrative agencies and libraries in Taiwan were replaced with high-efficiency LED lamps. A total of more than 3.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were saved , and the electricity saving rate reached more than 50%. In 2018, the private research organization LEDinside proposed that the LED lighting market size is expected to reach 56.6 billion US dollars in 2023. In response to the changing trend of waste lighting sources, the Environmental Protection Agency announced that it will officially recycle waste LED lighting products from January 1, 2017. The recycling types of LED products include straight tube, ring tube, compact and ballast.
